In recent months/years Idina menzel has become one of my all time favourite singers and actresses. I just love the sound and texture her voice makes, alongside the power her voice encapsulates. I also love how when she acts, all the emotion is captured within her eyes; her eyes truly say it all.
Some of you may know her from 'Wicked' or 'Rent'. Fortunately, I was able to see her perform many times, at her final performance whilst she was in London (Sept-Dec 2006) and actually got to meet her. Thus, being stunned by her amazing performance in 'Wicked' and to pay tribute to that (and to plug her new solo album), I give you a reworking of her signature song 'Defying Gravity'.
